AUCTIONEERS NOTE: This auction presents the opportunity to purchase an extremely located parcel of land located just south of Canova, SD that has been in the Beck family for many decades – currently this farm is all sowed to grass and is being utilized as pasture, although this land has a cropland history on over 130 acres and has a respectable overall soil rating. Additionally, this auction provides the opportunity to purchase a fixer-upper 3 bedroom ranch style home with a spacious newer addition, which could be renovated to serve as a desirable home that could serve as a comfortable home for an owner occupant, rental investment property or as a residence for hunters and others that seasonally visit the Canova, SD area. 10:00 AM – LAND AUCTION – +/-166.93 Acres of Canova Township Miner County, SD Land – Located at the 4 Way Stop at the Southwest Corner of Canova, SD (Jct. of 242nd St & 435th Ave.) – which is at the northwest corner of the land.
This well located farm will be offered as an individual parcel, which according to Miner County Assessor’s data contains approximately 167.8 acres. This farm presently is being operated as pasture and is all sowed to grass, although according to FSA information, this farm has approx. 131.78 acres of cropland and since this farm has not been under cultivation the base acres and yields have not been updated for many years as there has been no recent crop history, presently the FSA 156EZ on this farm indicates this farm has a 69.40 acre corn base with a 55 bu. PLC yield, an 11.20 acre barley base with a 38 bu PLC yield, a 10.60 acre oats base with a 45 bu PLC yield and a 10.40 acre barley base with a 49 bu PLC yield.
