According to FSA information this parcel has 112.1
acres of tillable farmland with the balance in native grass hayland. The topography
is level to gently rolling on farmland acres and rolling
to hilly on hayland acres. This parcel carries a 53.6 acre wheat base with a 27
bu. direct & c.c. yield, a 16.7 acre sunflower base with a 1,096 lb. direct
& c.c. yield, a 11.5 acre sorghum base with a 42
bu. direct & c.c. yield, and a 1.8 acre oat base with a 34 bu. direct &
c.c. yield. The majority soil type on the tillable farmland acres is Millboro Silty Clay with a soil
rating of .735. The hayland acres consist of lesser value soils of Lakoma Silty Clay and Opal-Sansarc Clay. $660.26 are the
current taxes. This unimproved quarter of land would make a nice addition to an
existing wheat or row crop operation, an existing cow-calf operation, an
addition to a hunting or refuge operation, or just a
good solid investment for land in Lyman County.
